Racing car driver, Pilot, Astronaut
When you were a kid, who was your hero and why?
Spiderman because he could almost fly and Geoff Webster (he is a lot older than me)
How and why did you become involved in Harness Racing?
When I can first remember sitting ina jog cart holding the end of the reins (at about 3yrs old) John (brother) used to fight with me so mum tied a lead rope on the cart for him to drive also.
What is the best thing about being a Trainer/Driver?
Looking after great horses and meeting lots of great people and you can go anywhere in the world and find people who love horses.
Do you have any superstitions before a race?
Not now. I used to not like green colours and still have some old lucky sock's.
Who is the best horse you have Trained/Driven and why?
Sokyola because he won two Miracle Miles 2003 and 2009.
Smoken Up is starting to catch him though.
What is your most memorable moment in Harness Racing?
Hunter Cup, Victoria Cup, Interdominon, Trotters Miracle Mile twice, Len Smith Mile twice. Being around great people and making many friends.
What advice would you give to a young Trainer/Driver?
Keep your horse in the worst company and yourself in the best company.
